Second Sunday Service and God's Work Our Hands

Our Second Sunday Single Service was held at the Fellowship Hall on September 8, 2024 and God's light shined on us that whole day!

Pastor Wes Smith preached "When Jesus is present hopeless limits can become limitless hopes"! Brian and Earl sang and played, We filled the room with all seats taken.  Pastor Rudy officiated the service and welcomed new members.  Welcome to Zion, we're glad that you have joined us!  Coffee and lunch and desserts from Gayle, Susan, Connie and the Ladies Guild kept us going.

Jeff Miller led us in a God's Work Our Hands as we constructed 43 personal care kits and 49 school kits for Lutheran World Relief. These will be distributed to Ukraine and other overseas countries in need.  We then donned Thrivent shirts over our yellow God's Work shirts for a photo op for Thrivent as they provided a grant to Zion for the project.  Whew!

A little rest and no one was late for the launch of the Miss Barnegat Light, our annual Sunset Cruise.  Bob Birdsall had his camera and shot pictures all day long, Great job, Bob!  Here they are, look at all the smiles!  Thank you Iliana for gathering so many terrific door prizes and thank you to all who participated in this extraordinary Zion day.
